Tigmanshu Dhulia’s Instagram Account Hacked, Filmmaker Calls Social Media ‘Useless’

Famed for his distinct films like “Paan Singh Tomar” and “Haasil,” Tigmanshu Dhulia faced a hacking incident on his Instagram account. Despite  not being highly active on social media, he learned about the hack through a friend who had received messages from the hacker.

Registered a First Information Report (FIR) with the police

Tigmanshu Dhulia, renowned for his exceptional films like “Paan Singh Tomar” and “Haasil,” encountered a hacking incident on his Instagram account. Despite his limited activity on social media, his last post was in December 2022, with only 16 posts shared on his account. Tigmanshu was alerted to the hack when the hacker began soliciting financial assistance from his friends. A concerned friend called him and informed him about the situation, bringing the hacking incident to Tigmanshu’s attention.

As per Hindustan Times report, the director expressed his opinion on social media, stating, “I consider social media to be quite pointless; it’s a considerable time-waster. The idea of having a blue tick or being active on social media bothers me. I intend to keep social media out of my life.” Taking precautions, Dhulia not only removed the Instagram app from his phone but also made a commitment not to return to the platform for the time being.

Regarding his work commitments, Tigmanshu has wrapped up the shooting for his upcoming film ‘Ghamasan,’ starring Arshad Warsi and Pratik Gandhi. In addition, he is set to commence work on the second season of his OTT show ‘The Great Indian Murder’ soon.
