Tiku Weds Sheru: Kangana To Debut As Director After Completing 14 Years In Bollywood; Deets Inside

Bollywood’s Dabangg Queen Kangana Ranaut completed her 14 years in the entertainment industry. She debuted her career with Anurag Basu’s Gangster and now the queen is all set to make her maiden as solo director in “Tiku weds Sheru.” Starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and the Debut of Avneet Kaur, ‘Tiku weds Sheru’ is based on the concept of dark comedy.


Talking about her debut as a solo director, Kangana said, “Tiku Weds Sheru” is a COVID baby. When this movie was conceptualized, I was suffering from COVID, too. But the team from Amazon Prime Video made the making of this film an absolute breeze. This is a momentous occasion because, back in 2008, on April 28, I made my debut with Gangster and 14 years later, I am making my debut as a producer. It feels great to have had this journey.”

The actress added, “It’s a love story in the midst of beauty and brutality of life.” First, the movie was decided to premier in theatres but then confirmed to release on the OTT platform. On-screen ‘Queen’ Kangana is hosting a controversial reality show Lock Up telecasted on MX player and ALTBalaji. The show has more than 20 million followers and becomes a very successful reality show on the OTT platform.

Apart from her debut as a director, Kangana has several projects in her Kitty. She will be at the centre stage of the upcoming political drama ‘ Emergency’,  ‘Manikarnika Returns The Legend Of Didda, Tejas and The Incarnation: Sita. She also revealed the release date of her latest release ‘Dhaakad’ on May 20.
