Former Bollywood actress Somy Ali shook the internet with a revealing AMA session on Reddit, where she spoke candidly about her tumultuous past with ex-boyfriend Salman Khan and shared her views on the darker side of the film industry.
Somy, who dated Salman in the 1990s when she was just 16, made several explosive claims during the session. When asked why she left Bollywood, Somy revealed that Salman’s infidelity—allegedly involving “8 night stands”—and the constant abuse she endured led her to walk away. She said, “I was tired of Salman’s 8 night stands, and I didn’t appreciate being physically and verbally abused daily.” She added that she chose to finish her education and left the relationship when she found out about his new romance with a woman named Ash.
Somy, who had entered the industry to pursue her teenage crush on Salman, expressed deep disappointment in her experience. She compared Salman’s behavior unfavorably to that of notorious criminal Ted Bundy, stating, “Ted Bundy had better manners than Salman.” She also claimed that her Bollywood career was blocked by Salman’s influence, saying he prevented her from returning to the industry out of fear that she would expose him.
Somy didn’t hold back on other controversies either. She suggested that Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput was murdered, not a suicide, and she hinted at foul play surrounding actress Jiah Khan’s death, linking it to actor Suraj Pancholi and his connections to Salman Khan.
When asked about the recent threats to Salman’s life from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, Somy commented on the controversy, calling the Bishnois the new “Dawood and Chota Shakeel of Bollywood.” While she criticised Salman, she emphasised that she does not support violence or the death penalty. “I do not want him murdered. I’m a pacifist and a follower of Gandhi,” she said.
Additionally, Somy recently made headlines by reaching out to Lawrence Bishnoi through an Instagram post, expressing a desire to speak with him via Zoom, despite his incarceration. This move added fuel to the fire of her already contentious relationship with the Bollywood star.
In closing, Somy firmly stated that she would never participate in a show like “Bigg Boss” if Salman was involved, reinforcing her distance from the actor and the industry.
