TMKOC’s Gurucharan Singh Stopped Eating For Months, Friend Reveals Actor Turns ‘Very Weak’

Gurucharan Singh, best known for his role as Roshan Sodhi in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, was recently hospitalised in Mumbai. The actor, who has been reportedly unwell for several months, has stopped eating and is now “very weak,” according to a health update shared by his friend Bhakti Soni.

Bhakti Soni Shares Health Update

Speaking to The Indian Express, Bhakti revealed her concerns about Gurucharan’s health and financial struggles. “I have been trying to contact him and his family for the last couple of days, but their phones are switched off. Three days ago, when he was hospitalised, I spoke to his mother. I haven’t spoken to Gurucharan himself, but I’ve heard he is very weak and unable to talk,” she said.

Bhakti disclosed that the actor had stopped consuming solid food three months ago and was surviving on a liquid diet. “He wasn’t eating properly even before he was hospitalised. He relied on milkshakes and coconut water. In the last few days, he didn’t drink water either, which caused him to lose consciousness,” she added.

She also shared that Gurucharan’s family had reached out to her, asking her to convince him to drink water, but he reportedly refused. Addressing rumors about Gurucharan wanting to take ‘sanyas’ (renunciation), Bhakti dismissed the claims, saying, “He is unwell and has given up food because he wants to die.”

Financial and Personal Struggles

Bhakti revealed that Gurucharan has been dealing with financial difficulties and property disputes, which may have contributed to his declining health. She also mentioned that his family had stopped valuing him due to his inability to earn, adding to his emotional distress.
