Bollywood actor Janhvi Kapoor has revealed a clever tactic she uses to ward off unwanted advances from men: she pretends to be married to her friend, internet sensation Orry. In a candid chat on IMDb’s original series, Speed Dating, Janhvi shared this and other insights into her dating life.
Speaking about the most absurd excuses she’s used to avoid men, Janhvi said, “I’ve said I’m married a lot. Someone coming up to me in person has mostly been outside of India.” She then recalled an instance where she was with Orry and used him as a cover. “I was with Orry once and said he’s my husband,” she said.
On Romance and First Dates
Janhvi, who is rumored to be dating Shikhar Pahariya, also shared her thoughts on first dates. She said that punctuality is very important to her and that a romantic partner should “show up early” and “seem nervous.”
When asked about the most romantic gesture someone has ever done for her, Janhvi recalled a time when someone took a very long trip from London to Mumbai just to see her for five hours because she had a bad dream and was panicking. “That meant a lot to me,” she said.
