Gulshan Grover is one of the finest stars of Bollywood. Known in the industry as ‘bad man’, the actor has worked in more than 400 films. He has set the bar high for on-screen villains. Recently, Grover appeared on Manish Paul’s podcast show where he recalled his old days.

Gulshan Grover recalls his early days

Gulshan told that it was not easy to create the image of a ‘bad man’ and there was a lot of struggle during his era. He revealed that there were no vanity vans. Many times he had to take bath in a studio or under a tree.

During the interview, Gulshan said that he used to reach the set 3 to 4 hours before the shoot time so that he could get ready on time. He stated, ‘There were no make-up rooms at that time. We had to get ready at home or outside. Many times the make-up man used to start my make-up in the car itself. There was no lavish vanity van at that time, so we used to get makeup done sitting under a tree.’

Gulshan Grover Says Villains Took More Time To Get Ready

Gulshan talked about how when villains used to consume more time to get ready which used to irritate the producers and directors. He laughed and shared that when he was cast with Mithun Chakraborty, he told the producers – ‘don’t give him a look, he will take two hours.’

Gulshan Grover said that after wrapping up the shoot in the evening, if he had to go to some function, he would often take bath under a tree. He quoted, ‘There were no vanity vans, so you had to take bath in the studio or under a tree to go to the function. After this, I used to go to the event wearing a coat.’
