Tunisha Sharma Death: Mukesh Khanna Slams Parents For Sending Young Kids To Work; Gives ‘Love Jihad’ Twist

The tragic demise of TV and film actress Tunisha Sharma has left the entire nation in shock. She committed suicide on the sets of herĀ  show Ali Baba: Datan-e-Kabul after an alleged breakup with co-star Sheezan Mohammed Khan. Sharma’s untimely death has ignited a debate across the country about spreading more awareness on mental health and troubled relationships.

Now, actor Mukesh Khanna has also shared his piece of mind on the ongoing case of Tunisha. In a long video released on his channel, Khanna is heard talking about Tunisha’s suicide.

According to Mukesh, parents are highly responsible for these kind of mishappenings. He has said that in the first place, parents should not send their young children to Mumbai to perform in the TV, film, and OTT industries just by looking at their talent. And even if they are doing so, they should take utmost care of who they befriend on sets by visiting them on their work place every month. The actor thinks that nowadays, TV has become fast-paced and everyone in the industry is working late hours to complete work. It is these working hours which take a toll on their health too.

Furthermore, the Shaktiman actor talked about the ‘Love jihad’ angle in Tunisha’a case. He stated that just because Sheezan has Khan in his surname, he cannot be blamed.

“Her boyfriend has been arrested in this connection. His name has Khan at the end and many people are giving a love jihad angle to it. I will not go say much about it as it is not necessary that every Khan is involved in this,” he quoted.

On a concluding note, Mukesh slammed media channels for glamorizing suicide just for viewership. He asked them to stop doing that as it is having a bad effect on the minds of youth.
