The demise of young, charming and supremely talented actress Tunisha Sharma has left the entire nation in shock. At the mere age of 20, Sharma suffocated herself to death by hanging from the ceiling of her co-star and beau Sheezan Mohammed Khan’s make-up room. She committed suicide on the sets of her show Ali Baba: Dastan-E-Kabul. It becomes difficult to digest all this for an artist who had done wonders at a tender age and had a promising career ahead.

Many actors from TV and film fraternity paid condolences to the deceased actress and extended prayers to her family. TV actress Kamya Punjabi too expressed her views on the same. Taking to Twitter, she wrote, “What’s with today’s generation? Thodi toh himmat rakho to deal with your issues, your problems? Why give up on life so easily? Why are they so weak? Pls think abt ur parents before taking such a drastic step, pls give some importance to them too they suffer more than death #TunishaSharma”

The tweet of former Bigg Boss contestant did not go down well with many Netizens as she tagged the current generation weak for choosing suicide and not fighting the odds of life strongly. They called her insensitive, ignorant and disgusting for the same.

A user replied to Kamya and penned, “Things don’t work like that. It’s not about courage or bravery. It’s about the state of mind at that vulnerable point. I know it because I have been there and fortunately alive to tell the story. Your tweet is just a reflection of your ignorance.”

Another Netizen asked Kamya to stop judging as no one knows what she Tunisha going through. He also said that maybe if parents had created a safe space for her to come and voice out her pain, she would be alive today.

A third tweet called Kamya a typical Indian aunty. “The society is very judgmental specially aunties like you… Parents should be act like a friend more so that the child will feel comfortable to voice out her pain,” it read.

For the unversed, Tunisha Sharma’s death is under investigation. Her boyfriend Sheezan Mohammed Khan is in Police custody after Tunisha’s mother accused him of abetment of suicide. According to her, Tunisha slipped into severe depression after Sheezan broke up with her.
