TV Actress Richa Rathore Opens Up About Her Journey: ‘Tamasha’ Was A Turning Point In My Life!

Richa Rathore, who presently appears in the daily serial ‘Rabb Se Hai Dua,’ talked up about how Imtiaz Ali’s 2015 film ‘Tamasha’ proved a turning point in her acting career and the reason she left engineering to pursue acting.

While every actor goes through countless tries and workshops to develop a character and learn the intricacies of acting, Ghazal Richa Rathore claimed that she never intended to pursue acting as a career.

Richa is actually an engineer, and her acting career started by coincidence. Having said that, Richa used to audition for several jobs merely to try her luck. As a matter of fact, not many are aware that she was part of Imtiaz Ali’s classic film- ‘Tamasha’. Although Richa kept her employment, she soon received an offer to play a crucial role in the popular show Kumkum Bhagya, which she accepted and relocated to Mumbai.

During a recent interview, Richa Rathore stated: “The film Tamasha probably marked a turning point in my life.” I became interested in acting after participating in this film, and started auditioning for various roles, which made me want to pursue acting as a career.

“I resigned from my position as well as moved from Shimla to Mumbai to make my debut appearance in Kumkum Bhagya,” she explained.

Richa, who was born in Shimla, relocated to Mumbai to pursue her acting career.

Changing careers from an engineer to an actor was never in my plans. I knew I was intended to be an actress after moving here, and I am really enthusiastic about it.

While Richa Rathore is now enjoying her ideal life, it will be intriguing to see how things unfold in Dua’s life as Ghazal and Haider become closer by the day.
