In a conversation recently, she talked about abuse on television sets. She said, ‘It is sad that no one talks about using offensive language on television sets.’ However, she did not name anyone. But referring to an incident, she said that an executive producer of her show did not allow her to meet her ailing mother in the hospital.
Riddhima said, ‘It is true that no one talks about it. In one of my shows, the producers were good but the EP used to harass me mentally. During that time I came to know that my mother was unwell. She was admitted to the ICU. The time to meet her on the day she was admitted to the ICU was from 7 am to 8 am and 4 pm to 5:50 pm. I asked them to put me in the 9 am shift so that I could meet my mother and then come for shooting. But they wanted me to shoot at 7 am.’
