Twist Of Bralette And Thigh-High Sizzles Couture Week; Check Out How Bollywood Divas Add Sexy Spin To Lehengas!

This year’s India Couture Week featured a lot of bralettes and mermaid skirts with thigh-high slits. And if you enjoy keeping up with the latest fashions, this style statement should definitely be in your closet.

During the ongoing India Couture Week 2023, designers have been showcasing their latest collections, with Bollywood’s leading ladies serving as show stoppers. Kiara Advani, Disha Patani, Sobhita Dhulipala, Ananya Panday, and Bhumi Pednekar, all had one thing in common: the bralette and thigh-high slit skirt looks. Here’s a look back at the many actresses who have headlined collection shows in the same silhouette, making it the season’s trend.

For Some Fashion Inspiration, Take A Look At What The Divas Wore:

Disha Patani.

Disha Patani, dressed in her signature Disha-core ensemble, became the muse for couturier Dolly J. She dazzled in a gleaming silver gown with detailed embellishment, sequin work, and oval cut-outs work on the seams. The bralette has thin shoulder straps, a plunging sweetheart neckline revealing Disha’s decolletage, a cropped midriff-baring hem, and a fitted bust, while the skirt has a risque thigh-high slit on the front side, along with a train cascading on the backside. Goddess-like locks, dangling earrings, a bracelet, high heels, and eye-catching makeup completed the look.

Kiara Advani.

Kiara wore a skirt and blouse set inspired by Barbiecore in India Couture Week for designer duo Falguni Shane Peacock.  This summer’s theme is Barbiecore, and Kiara’s look is ideal for bridesmaids attending their best pal’s wedding ceremony. Embroidered and embellished with crystal tassels, sequins, and beaded work, it has a sleeveless bralette and mermaid skirt set. Kiara’s modern yet traditional look was boosted by the risque thigh-baring slit on the front and the long train. She finished her appearance with a pair of platform metallic heels and her huge wedding ring.

Ananya Panday.

Ananya Panday stole the show for designer Rimzim Dadu in an ensemble from her collection Hydrochromic during India Couture Week. Ananya’s outfit is ideal for a cocktail party or a reception. It has a structured bralette with halter noodle straps, a fitted bust, a plunging neckline with a golden leaf structure, and a backless design. She paired it with a golden skirt with similar win structures and an asymmetric thigh-high slit. She completed the overall appearance with a pair of gold hoop earrings.

Bhumi Pednekar.

Bhumi looked like a gold dream as she walked the runway for designer Varun Bahl. Pednekar wore a magnificent golden hand-embroidered skirt and blouse set with a bold appliqué design and a cutwork hemline to present the designer’s Inner Bloom collection. The incredible design perfectly highlighted the actress’ fashion sense and provided a new way to dress up in fusion wear for weddings. She paired it with a heavily embroidered skirt with a thigh-high slit with a long train. Bhumi’s edgy glam elevated the shimmering ensemble.

Sobhita Dhulipala.

Sobhita’s ensemble was a revised rendition of the trendsetting silhouette for designer duo Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna by adding a sheer touch to her bralette and mermaid skirt style statement.

A floor-sweeping skirt embellished with diamonds, a sensual waist-cut slit, and a matching blouse. Wet hair was side-parted, a tassel-embroidered dupatta adorned the neck, and the look was topped off with high heels and dewy glam.
