Talking about the incident the singer said that it happened on January 6 at 9.15 pm and confirmed that he is safe and lives in A wing, while the fire was in B wing. According to a media report, the singer told that the fire broke out in the other part of the building. A person came into the grip of this fire and lost his life. The alarms of the building rang and the people living in the building had to stay downstairs for four to five hours.

The singer said, “This night was difficult for everyone.” Although he has not yet been able to know the cause of the fire, he is very worried about the situation and the death of the person living in the building. According to a media report, the fire took the life of Udit Narayan’s neighbour Rahul Mishra, who lived on the 11th floor of the second wing. The man was rushed to Kokilaben Hospital but was declared dead on arrival as he died of suffocation due to smoke inhalation. His relative Raunak Mishra was seriously injured but sustained injuries.
