The death of BJP leader and actress Sonali Phogat has come as a surprise to everyone. The Bigg Boss star was all of 42 years old when she breathed her last. Some of her fans and her family members are not able to digest the fact that despite being healthy, Phogat succumbed to a heart attack. With regard to the same, a case of unnatural death has been registered by the Goa Police.
Let us tell you that Sonali was dead when she was brought to St Anthony hospital in Goa. A preliminary inquiry showed that she had reached Goa on August 22. The next day, in the morning, she complained of uneasiness following which she was taken to a hospital. Upon arrival, she was declared dead.
According to records of witnesses, the Police have written to the Dept of Forensic Medicine at Goa Medical College for appointing a panel of doctors for conducting a post-mortem examination. More details on the same are yet to unfold.
Meanwhile, the National Commission for Women has constituted a two-member fact-finding team to investigate on the matter. Sonali’s sister Sudesh Devi has also claimed that Sonali had a word with their mother hours before her death. She had revealed that someone was conspiring against her as she was feeling uneasy after having her food. “Mere pe kuchh saazish ho rahi hai (A conspiracy is afoot against me),” Sonali had told her mother.
For the unknown, Sonali Phogat debuted in acting with the TV show Amma: Ek Maa Jo Laakhon Ke Liye Bani Amma. She later joined politics by contesting the Assembly election from Haryana’s Adampur constituency against Kuldeep Bishnoi. In 2020, she also appeared on the famous reality show, Bigg Boss.
