Who doesn’t know the famous small screen actress and Uttaran fame Tina Dutta recently lost her maternal grandmother on January 11, 2025. On Wednesday, she penned an emotional note on her social media handle for her fans and mourned the demise of her grandmother. Tina has earlier worked in several TV serials and one of the most controversial TV shows.

Sharing unseen pictures and videos with her grandmother on her social media with her fans, Tina wrote, “And lost a piece of my heart.. someone who was extremely dear to me and loved me with all her heart.. she was my haven. My comfort zone, my happiness, no more kissing and love you’s, no more rubbing and pulling cheeks, no more nagging and making her apply nail polish, no more making all the amazing sweet dishes and, bhogs for me, no more calling and asking when she will come.”

Expressing her pain over her maternal grandmother’s demise, Tina further wrote, “Whatever little spiritual I am today, all credit goes to Amma. I will miss you with all my heart Amma. Things will never be the same without you. Words are falling short, you have made a very special place in my heart and vice versa and I know I was your only favorite, love you Amma.’

The actress further added, ‘She was the prettiest and her skin glowed like anything, no moisturizers or lotions, just natural beauty and I used to rub my cheek on hers and tell her ‘Amma ektu sundar kore dana’ (make me beautiful like you) Amar sundari kamala, amar meenu, will miss you.’ If we talk about the workfront of actress’ career, Tina gained popularity after playing the role of Iccha in the drama series Uttaran, which also featured Rashami Desai, Nandish Sandhu, Rohit Khurana, Sreejita De and Mrinal Jain. She was last seen in the serial ‘Hum Rahein Na Rahein Hum’, which aired from April 10 to September 22, 2023.
