Varun Dhawan, the attractive Bollywood actor, encountered a minor setback while shooting for his upcoming film VD18 with director Atlee. On December 17, Varun took to Instagram to share news about his injury, giving fans a glimpse of his swollen leg.
Varun Dhawan Suffers An Unintended Collision
In the shared picture, Varun’s leg took centre stage, showing visible red marks as a result of an unintended collision with an iron rod. Alongside the image, he captioned,” Swollen shine banged it into an iron rod,” accompanied by a crying emoticon.
Not Varun’s First On-Set Injury
Interestingly, this is not the first time Varun Dhawan has faced an injury while on set. In September, he previously shared a videotape on Instagram depicting him soothing his foot in ice water after an undisclosed injury. In the videotape, he mentioned,” I hurt my leg while shooting, and I’ve no idea how I hurt my leg, but this is what I’m doing at the moment.”
Varun Dhawan on Koffee with Karan 8
Switching gears, Varun, along with his fellow student of the year star Sidharth Malhotra, recently graced the couch on the popular talk show’ Koffee With Karan.’ The episode showcased their journey from being ideal husbands in the eyes of the world to two Kens without their Barbies, according to host Karan Johar.

From Co-Stars to Married Men
Varun, who tied the knot with his childhood sweetheart Natasha Dalal in 2021, and Sidharth, who married actress Kiara Advani in February, reflected on their lives a decade after the release of Student of the Year. Despite the humour, Varun subtly addressed the rumours surrounding the show’s impact on relationships, urging Karan to ensure their friendships remain intact even after the episode.
In easy language, Varun while shooting for VD18, injured his leg and shared a picture on Instagram. This is not the first time he has faced on-set injuries. Recently, Varun and Sidharth Malhotra appeared on Koffee with Karan, ignoring their trip from co-stars to married men and adding a touch of humour to their reflections.
