Veer Pahariya Thanks Trolls For Career Boost: ‘Keep Roasting, I’m Cashing In!’”

Actor Veer Pahariya, who made his acting debut with the aerial action film Sky Force, has responded to the online trolling he faced following the film’s release. While Sky Force received positive reviews, Veer’s performance was met with criticism. However, rather than being discouraged, the actor sees the trolling as a career booster, particularly in terms of social media engagement.

In a recent interview with Hauterrfly, Veer expressed his unconventional perspective on online criticism. Addressing the viral dance step from the song Rang, he stated, “I love it; I live for it. My whole life I’ve looked up to actors who get trolled and become memes. I have become a meme—can you imagine? I’m immortalised with this dance. Who knew me 20 days ago? Now, if I do the langdi step, people will recognise me.”

Veer acknowledged that the increased online engagement due to trolling has led to new opportunities, particularly in public performances. “Since my song came out and went viral, my engagement has skyrocketed. So many doors and avenues have opened up for me. I’ve already performed at two weddings and even did the langdi step with a bride,” he said. He also humorously recounted a moment with a groom, joking, “This is my fifth round. If I do two more, the bride will be mine.”

The actor further stated that his newfound recognition has led to more work and financial gains. “I’ve got a hit song, and I’m getting wedding gigs, which is every actor’s dream—to dance and perform at weddings. To those who are trolling, I request them to continue so that I get even more work and earn more money,” he added.

In Sky Force, Veer portrayed an Indian Air Force officer stranded behind enemy lines. The film, set against the backdrop of the 1965 Indo-Pak War at Sargodha airbase, featured Akshay Kumar, Sara Ali Khan, and Nimrat Kaur in key roles. Despite receiving positive reviews, Sky Force underperformed at the box office, collecting ₹167 crore against its ₹160 crore budget.

Veer’s response to trolling reflects a growing trend among actors who leverage social media visibility—whether positive or negative—to advance their careers. As he continues to embrace the limelight, it remains to be seen how this newfound attention shapes his journey in the industry.
