Veteran Actor Krishna Ghattamaneni Passed Away This Morning; Telangana’s Chief Minister Paid Tribute

South Indian star Mahesh Babu’s father, Krishna Ghattamaneni, 79, passed away in Hyderabad at around 4 a.m. today. Krishna Ghattamaneni was a well-known Telugu actor, and he showed his acting skills in many films. Krishna Ghattamaneni was an actor as well as a successful director and producer. In 2009, Krishna Ghattamaneni was awarded the Padma Bhushan award. As per the information, Krishna Ghattamaneni had joined the political party Congress too, but after the death of Rajiv Gandhi, he left the Congress party.

 

Veteran actor Krishna Ghattamaneni was admitted to the hospital on Monday after suffering a heart attack. Let us tell you that, a few months ago, Mahesh Babu’s mother, Indira Devi, also passed away. After this, now once again the mountain of sorrows broke on Mahesh Babu. On the demise of Krishna Ghattamaneni, Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao paid tribute to him by sharing a message on social media.

 

It is to be known that, before the deaths of his mother and father, Mahesh Babu’s elder brother, Ramesh Babu, died on January 8 of this year at the age of 56. Ramesh Babu was a well-known actor and producer in the South Indian industry. Ramesh Babu was suffering from kidney problems. Notably, Mahesh Babu was very close to his father. Mahesh Babu often shared his pictures with his father on social media.

Significantly, born on May 13, 1943, in Burugupalam village in Andhra Pradesh, the real name of actor Krishna was Sivaram Krishna Ghattamaneni. Krishna Ghattamaneni started his career in 1961. Within no time, he became a superstar in the Telugu film industry with his tremendous acting. Krishna Ghattamaneni had worked in all kinds of films, ranging from action to mythological films.
