Vicky Kaushal, Felt Less ‘Handsome’ To Play Sam Manekshaw. For Details, READ!

Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal will be seen in the role of SAM Manekshaw in his upcoming movie Sam Bahadur. Masan actor confessed that he didn’t find himself to be enough good looking to play the character of SAM Manekshaw.

The trailer for Meghna Gulzar’s “Sam Bahadur” was released on November 7th. The trailer got a good response from the fan family of the Uri actor. Vicky Kaushal will be seen sharing the screen with Sanya Malhotra, and Fatima Sana Shaikh in pivotal roles. During the trailer launch event, Vicky Kaushal while talking recalled him questioning himself about the necessary looks to portray the character of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw on screen. He also expressed gratitude to the movie director for trusting him for this challenging role.

The trailer launch event took place at the Manekshaw Centre in Delhi. During the event, Vicky shared that Meghna Gulzar, director of “Sam Bahadur” expressed her desire to film a biopic on Sam Manekshaw during the time he was shooting for movie Raazi in 2018. He recalled, “I remember when Meghna and I were working on Raazi, then during a shooting schedule in Patiala she told me what she wanted to do next. And she said she wants to make a film on Sam Manekshaw.”

Uri actor recalled that as both of his parents are from Punjab, from his childhood days he had heard a lot about Sam Manekshaw. Although he was unaware of the appearance of the Field General.

Back then, during his conversation with Meghna, he recalled how he googled Sam Manekshaw and was taken aback by his handsome personality. He further recalled, “He is very handsome, and I will not get this role.” Masan actor also showed his gratitude towards the film director for trusting him for this challenging role.
