Actor Vicky Kaushal recently shared insights about his wife, actress Katrina Kaif, revealing that she follows a vegetarian diet more diligently than he does, preferring simple and wholesome meals. In an interview with The Week, Vicky expressed that his mother, Veena Kaushal, finds joy whenever Katrina is around, especially appreciating her willingness to enjoy dishes like apple gourd, beans, and ridge gourd.

Vicky reveals what he can cook

Vicky Kaushal elaborated that his culinary skills are limited, admitting that aside from preparing tea and cooking eggs, he has little expertise in the kitchen. He shared, “I can’t cook to save my life. I’m only adept at making tea and scrambling eggs. I picked up these skills during quarantine when I found myself watching movies all night with nothing else to do.” Vicky went on to praise his younger brother, Sunny, who excels in cooking and is just over a year younger than him. He described their relationship as more akin to friendship, where they exchange experiences rather than giving or taking advice. Vicky expressed admiration for Sunny’s wisdom and composure, contrasting it with his own disposition.

Vicky on his mom’s reaction to Katrina’s food choices

When questioned about their food preferences at home, Vicky Kaushal shared insights into their dietary habits. He remarked, “Katrina tends to gravitate towards vegetarian options more than I do. She appreciates simplicity in her meals. While she may occasionally indulge in dishes like chhole bhature, I’m more inclined towards them.”

Vicky expressed his mother’s delight whenever Katrina visits, as she finds joy in her daughter-in-law’s willingness to embrace dishes like tinde (apple gourd), beans, and turai (ridge gourd) on a regular basis. He added that pancakes are among Katrina’s favorite foods. Despite their fame, Vicky emphasized that they are just an ordinary couple navigating life together, albeit under the constant scrutiny of the public eye.
