The filmmaker has been working on various aspects of his next directorial project for the last few months, and we hear that things are now in motion. According to sources, Aanand L Rai’s next film will be a love story starring Vicky Kaushal.
“Vicky Kaushal and Anand L Rai have developed a strong bond since the release of Manmarziyaan, and they have been eager to collaborate for a long time.” The Raanjhanaa director is looking to make a pure love story from India’s heartland after Atrangi Re and Raksha Bandhan. When he shared this thought with Vicky, the actor was ecstatic to be a part of Rai’s world,” said a source close to the project, adding that the film will begin production next year.
While the script is being finalised, Aanand L Rai is currently working on the film’s casting and will soon leave on a location scout.
It is expected that the film will start shooting in mid-2023. They are searching for a female lead. His previous films have each had a strong character with substance for the female lead. According to the source, both films’ main leads will be set within a fortnight.
