Actor-cum-Comedian Vir Das is known for his hilarious takes on some of the most serious matters in our country. With his quirky standups, he has garnered a huge fan base. Apart from this, he is also active on social media. Vir’s strong views on politics in India are appreciated as well as criticized by the masses. He sets the stage on fire every time he attempts to tickle the audience’s funny bones. The same happened recently.
In his latest stand-up, Das is heard narrating a humorous incident. The video that hit YouTube with the title How To Unite Social Media, has a portion in which Vir tells that he was called a Bollywood star by a newspaper of Czech. Not taking the tag seriously, he further described comically that the title belongs to Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan only. To prove his point, the comedian drew comparisons between him and SRK.
Vir elaborated, “I am not a Bollywood star. I am a comedian that sometimes does movies. F*cking Shah Rukh Khan is a Bollywood star. The biggest star in the world. Google ‘Shah Rukh Khan’. Women throw their underwear at Shah Rukh Khan. Aunties throw it like cricketer ‘Aye Shah Rukh’…spin.”
Further molding the story in a funny direction, Vir said, “Women have thrown their underwear at me but it is always followed by questions. ‘Vir could you put that in the washing machine please?’ ‘Vir did you wear this?’”
For the unknown, Vir Das has worked in a few Bollywood movies also. He has hit movies like Go Goa Gone and Delhi Belly to his credit.
