Through this post, Vir Das informed that he wants to wear an outfit of an Indian designer and not a foreign one. While expressing his desire to work with upcoming talented designers, he wrote, ‘Okay friends, I am going to be the first Indian to host the International Emmy Awards. On this occasion, I want to wear something Indian which is from our own country, our home.’

Vir Das further wrote, ‘I am not even thinking of wearing clothes of any fancy designer. They have a lot of money and clients, so we are thinking of launching something new. If you are a beginner designer, label, or student and can prepare some formal stuff, then email us. I will add some more details to your stuff and experience.’

Vir Das further added, ‘We are getting a lot of mails. I want to make it clear that we are thinking of making something very formal. It will be your responsibility to look the best. It should be Indian or Indo-Western fusion. I don’t want a tuxedo. We will pay you for your work. You have to work with my team so that the vision and design fit right.’ This year he is going to host the 52nd International Emmy Awards at the international level in New York on 25 November.
