He is spending some time with his family as his second child is on the way, which is why he missed the first two Test matches. He is fine and delighted.

De Villiers Supported Virat for prioritising his family

AB de Villiers added, “Yes, his second child is on the way. Yes, it’s family time, and these things are essential to him. If you are not loyal to yourself, you will lose track of why you are here. I believe that most people’s top focus is their families. You can’t judge Virat for that. Yes, we miss him, but he made the correct decision.
