On Sunday, June 12th, film director Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri was present at Speaker’s Corner in London’s iconic Hyde Park. The filmmaker of ‘The Kashmir Files’ was greeted by a large gathering of Indians who had arrived to hear him speak. Vivek told the crowd that Indians must get together to protect their country from the threat within. He claims that it is his responsibility as an artist to communicate the truth via his work.
Agnihotri’s rousing lecture on injustice, diversity, inclusion and world peace drew a large gathering of over 1000 individuals. He stated that terrorism must be combated through humanism and the Indic ideology of Oneness. Hindus, according to the director, respect and cherish variety in all parts of life, including faiths, and want others to do the same.
When Agnihotri encouraged a thousand or more people to take a pledge in Hyde Park, roars of Vande Mataram erupted.
“We take a pledge on this day of 12th June 2022 at the speaker’s Corner, Hyde Park, London that we Bharatiyas shall stand united against terrorism. As United Bharatiyas we condemn the world’s longest continuous Genocide of Hindus in Kashmir. We take a pledge that we will stand up and speak up against communal and radical forces. We shall speak up every time injustice is done to any Hindu in the world. We condemn the curbing of FREE speech at Oxford University. We resolve that we are United as Bharatiyas and we shall dedicate ourselves to the common goal of protecting the civilizational state of Bharat from its enemies. We, the United Hindus, believe in TRUTH, HUMANITY, AND ONENESS. Jai Hind. Vande Mataram. Bharat Mata ki Jai.’
The Indian Diaspora in the United Kingdom organized the event, which was coordinated by Reach India UK, Simply Sanatan, Yoga with Maya, and several other organizations.
