Darsheel Safary played the role of Ishaan in Aamir Khan’s movie ‘Taare Zameen Par’. After this film, he became a star overnight. He got this film because of his teeth, but those same teeth also caused him a lot of trouble in school. He mentioned this in an interview.

Darsheel Safary said that when he was in school, he was teased a lot because of his teeth. However, it was those very teeth that got him the film for which he is most famous. In an interview with ‘Hindustan Times’ in 2022.

Darsheel Safary said, “My height, my teeth, everything about me was made fun of in school. My teeth seemed like they were a kilometre outside my mouth. It all happened for a reason, and then I got the film because of those teeth.”

Darsheel further said that he sees all of this in a positive light. He learned from it and it doesn’t affect him anymore. But at that time, it had a deep impact on him. The actor said, “I was a different kind of sensitive child. Everything hurt me.

He said: When you become an actor, you have to calm the noise, but not completely. You have to know what’s real and what’s not. If they say Darsheel is getting lazy, that’s true and I have to work on it. But if they say Darsheel doesn’t like acting, that’s a lie.”

Apart from ‘Taare Zameen Par’, Darsheel has also worked in films like ‘Bumm Bumm Bole’, ‘Zokkomon’, and ‘Midnight’s Children’.
