Bollywood power couple Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan have stood several tests of time together. They have been around each other for over four decades now. The strong bond that this star duo sets an example for millions of lovers. Though SRK and Gauri have shown tremendous support to each other, there was a time when the superstar’s ladylove  wanted all his films to flop.

When Gauri Khan revealed she wanted Shah Rukh Khan’s films to flop

In an old interview with fashion designers, Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla, Gauri disclosed that she wanted her husband, Shah Rukh’s films to perform poorly on box office. When Sandeep stated that she must have stood with her better half like a rock, the designer denied it and went on to share that she once wanted his films to flop.

Divulging the reason behind her wish, Gauri said that she wasn’t happy about coming to Bombay. It was shocking and difficult for her to be in the filmy world. So, she actually didn’t want Shah Rukh’s films to do well. The star wife thought if it flopped, they should go back to Delhi. She quoted, “Films, how and what happens, everything was so new. For me it was like nothing should run and everything should be a flop.”

Gauri further added that she had no clue what was happening. She also talked about how  her husband has always been ambitious and in his top form wherever he performed.

The doting wife said, “From his childhood-in school and in college, he’s always been on top whether it’s football, hockey, theatre, or anything. For me whatever he would touch would be gold. I think that’s my smartness that I chose the right guy. I am lucky to have him.”

For the unversed, Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan tied the knot in 1991 after dating for a long time. They have three kids together- Aryan, Suhana and AbRam.
