Veteran couple Neetu Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor were one of the most adored couples of their time. Though Neetu faced a lot in her marital life with Rishi, she stood by him through thick and thin. Recently, a Reddit user shared a throwback video of Neetu and Rishi from their appearance on famous talk show, ‘Koffee With Karan’.

In the clip, the veteran actress who always loved her husband is seen expressing her admiration for him while recalling no other woman could have handled the actor’s tantrums like her. Furthermore, Neetu revealed that the entire family of Rishi called her his ‘punching bag’, ‘medal’, and ‘Mother Teresa’ for handling him over the years. She shared that it is no longer like that as they have grown in their relationship. The actress said that she has an identity of her own and the actor has also calmed down.

As soon as the video surfaced on the internet, it made fans emotional. Netizens began pouring in their opinions on Neetu’s ordeals as a wife. One user wrote, “I feel sorry for Neetu. However, she seems happier after her husband died. If only she stopped posting those pathetic stories. She is both a victim and an aggressor.” Another stated, “She also suffered from patriarchy but also upheld the patriarchy like many other women.”

For the unversed, Neetu Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor had tied the knot on Jan 22, 1980. They have two children together- Riddhima Kapoor Sahni and Ranbir Kapoor. Rishi was diagnosed with cancer in 2018. He left this world for heavenly abode in 2020. After actor’s  demise, Neetu began her new innings and shifted focus on acting. She appeared last in Raj Mehta’s ‘Jugugg Jeeyo’ with Anil Kapoor, Kiara Advani and Varun Dhawan.
