Former Bollywood actress Ayesha Takia is away from limelight for a long time now. She has starred in popular roles alongside big names like Ajay Devgn, Salman Khan, etc. As Ayesha celebrates her 37th birthday, here’s a little throwback at what led to actress saying a goodbye to acting.
Ayesha entered the glamor world with modelling. After achieving success as a model, she turned to films. Ayesha debuted with ‘Tarzan: The Wonder Car’ on the big screen alongside Vatsal Seth and Ajay Devgn. After that she starred in multiple films before putting an end to her acting career.
Debuted at a young age
Ayesha was born on 10 April 1985 in a Gujarati family living in Mayanagari Mumbai. She was 15 when she tried her hands at modelling. She got noticed and soon after, she starred in the album of famous Gujarati singer Falguni Pathak ‘Meri Chunar Ud Ud Jaye’. In the year 2004, she stepped into the colorful world of Bollywood with the film ‘Tarzan: The Wonder Car’.
After this film, Ayesha did many films like ‘Dil Maange More’, ‘Socha Na Tha’, ‘Dor’, ‘No Smoking’, but she got recognition from Salman Khan’s ‘Wanted’. However, only after tasting the success with this film, Ayesha said goodbye to the film world forever to complete her real life love story.
Ayesha-Farhan’s love story
Even before the release of Salman’s film ‘Wanted’, Ayesha fell in love with Samajwadi Party leader Abu Azmi’s son Farhan Azmi. After dating each other for almost three years, Ayesha and Farhan decided to take their relationship a step further. But religion came in between their love. So, in order to tie the knot, Ayesha had changed her religion to Islam before taking the plunge in 2009. She added Azmi to her surname and quit acting to enjoy her marital life to the fullest. Ayesha and Farhan are parents of a son.
