When ‘Young Female Member’ Of Vivek Agnihotri’s Family Got Harassed By Pak Terror Groups; Checkout Filmmaker’s Claim!

Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri often hit headlines for his controversial statements. He is an avid user of social media and is frequently seen voicing his opinion on different matters on the platforms. Recently, Agnihotri took to Twitter to slam those who are twisting his words about The Kashmir Files becoming Oscars ‘contender’.

Vivek clarifies his statement

Vivek shared several screengrabs showing how people are making their own theories of his statement. He also warned news sites and others against getting involved or circulating such fake news with malicious intent. Alongside these screenshots, the director wrote, “They are distorting our statements to defame & disrepute the entire team of #TheKashmirFiles. There is false reporting & lying to public.”

In another tweet, Vivek claimed that a ‘young female member’ of his family is being ‘harassed’ and ‘threatened’. “I want to bring to the attention of public & concerned authorities that some of these people/groups are harassing & threatening young female member of my family. Some of them are well-known for instigating life threats to Nupur Sharma,” penned the filmmaker.

“Why are they doing it? Though it’s very obvious, we leave it for your conscience to decide. In the meantime, we are taking necessary action,” he added.

It all began when Vivek Agnihotri shared a poster of his film The Kashmir Files earlier this week. It had ‘Official Contender From India’ written on it. Vivek thanked everyone for their love, support and blessings in the caption and used the hashtag Oscars2023.

Soon after, several celebrities started questioning Vivek for celebrating his film’s eligibility in the prestigious awards. Some even began teaching him the difference between being eligible and shortlisted.
