‘Where Do You Keep Things?’: Junaid Khan Responds To Criticism Over Carrying Bag During Promotions

Junaid Khan, the elder son of Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan, is currently in the limelight as he promotes his upcoming film Loveyapa. Known for his calm demeanour and candid interviews, Junaid has been making headlines for a rather unusual reason: his habit of carrying a shoulder bag during promotional events. The bag has sparked online discussions, with many questioning his fashion choices. Finally, Junaid addressed the situation, receiving applause from netizens for his honest and relatable response.

In a recent interview with Mirchi Plus alongside Loveyapa co-star Khushi Kapoor, Junaid was asked about the backlash he had received from fashion influencers, including Diet Sabya, who criticized him for carrying a bag everywhere. The criticism revolved around the idea that his bag was creating the wrong fashion statement. In his response, Junaid expressed his confusion, asking, “Where do you keep things then?” He continued, “Actually, Khushi told me, ‘Your bag is the rage of the internet.’ I was like, ‘Why? Where do you keep your things then?'”

His lighthearted response left the interviewer and Khushi laughing, with Junaid explaining that as he was constantly moving from one place to another for film promotions, he needed a place to store his essentials. When asked what he carries in the viral bag, Junaid casually mentioned items like his wallet, keys, phone, and even face wash, as he is out all day. He couldn’t understand why his practical choices were considered unusual. The interviewer pointed out that other stars often have an entourage to carry their belongings, to which Junaid quickly clarified that he doesn’t have an entourage and isn’t looking for one.

Junaid’s response resonated with social media users, who voiced their support online. One user commented, “Exactly, where do they keep things then?” Another said, “They won’t let him be the way he is. Eventually, he will change, and then the same people will criticize again.”

In another interview with Humans of Bombay, Junaid was asked about his perspective on nepotism, given that both he and Khushi Kapoor come from prominent film families. Instead of avoiding the topic, Junaid openly admitted that he is “privileged” to be the first-born son of a respected and successful figure in the industry.

He acknowledged that producers often cast him due to his family background, understanding that his lineage attracts attention. “This fascination exists around me,” he said, acknowledging the influence of his father’s legacy in his career.

Junaid’s candidness about both his career and personal choices continues to earn him respect from his growing fanbase.
