Recently, during an interview with Midday, Tahira Kashyap took a dig at the critics who called her Ayushmann Khurrana’s wife in the reviews of ‘Sharmaji Ki Beti’.

“I have been given the tag of Ayushmann’s wife. Though I have directed a film, still there is no change. This thing used to bother me a long time ago and I used to think why can’t people see me as a person? I am Tahira. I am Tahira Kashyap, and I am not Tahira Khurrana or Mrs Khurrana,” Tahira said. She further said that earlier she used to get worried and then it became a part of her confidence.

The filmmaker further added, “This is because I am not confident about myself right now. I need to be confident about myself to such an extent that the way any stranger addresses me does not affect me.” Let us tell you that Tahira’s film ‘Sharmji Ki Beti’ is garnering praise from the audience and the critics and is loved by other Bollywood celebrities as well.
