After the unfortunate shootout of popular Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala this year, showbiz is under a great threat. Many celebs including Salman Khan got death threats following this major killing. And the latest to join them is Bigg Boss 13 fame Shehnaaz Gill’s father Santokh Singh.

As per the reports, an unidentified person gave a life threat to Singh on a phone call. The person who kept his name under wraps said that he would enter his house and kill him before Diwali. Santokh received the blackmailer’s call while he was going from Punjab’s Beas to Tarantan. The unknown person first abused him and then warned him of assassination. A police complaint has been registered in the matter.

Well, this is not the first time that Gill’s father is facing such a situation. In 2021, when he joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), two undisclosed persons attacked Santokh by firing at him. After Police investigation, it was found that the attackers were from Amritsar and had approached on a bike to shoot him.

It so happened that while going from Amritsar to Beas, Santokh stopped at a Gurdaspuria dhaba in Jandiala Guru area as his gunmen wanted to use washroom. As they went inside, four gunshots hit his car. He escaped the bullets but could not catch the shooters.

Before this, Santokh Singh got into a controversy when he was accused of raping a woman from Jalandhar on gunpoint. However, later he rubbished all these claims. Santokh Singh is currently trying his luck in politics.
