After returning to India, she announced that she was back to attend the largest spiritual gathering in the world, Mahakumbh Mela 2025. She has recently taken sanyas during the Mahakumbh and has become the Mahamandaleshwar of Kinnar Akhara.

Regarding her change, she said that now her entire focus is on spirituality. Mamta Kulkarni said in a conversation with one of the media houses, ‘I can’t even think of working in films again. Now it is absolutely impossible for me.’

According to the information, during the Maha Kumbh Mela, Mamta Kulkarni performed the holy Pinddaan at Sangam and was given the post of Mahamandaleshwar of Kinnar Akhara. Since then, he has adopted the name ‘Shri Yamai Mamta Nand Giri’ and embraced his new role as a spiritual leader.
