Bollywood actress Nushrratt Bharucha has earned a significant amount of fan following with her films like ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’, ‘Sonu Ki Titu Ki Sweety’ and ‘Dream Girl’. Though Nushrratt is a well renowned name in the industry now, she had to face rejection many times during the initial phase of her career. Recently, the actress has broken her silence on the same.
Nushrratt talks about facing rejection
In a latest interview, Nushrratt revealed how filmmakers used to reject her, probably because she used to work with new actors. The 37-year-old said that she struggled a lot to reach where she is today. She told that earlier, directors used to tell her she will not look good on the poster of films. Nushrratt questioned the same and asked about the mentality of filmmakers. She said that she used to think whether they are making a poster or a film.
Nushrratt further stated, “You cannot sell any film on the basis of any poster value. I heard a lot of things like that. May be it was because I liked to work with new people. I think if your work supports you, all myths can be broken.”

For the unversed, Nushrratt Bharuccha made her debut in Bollywood with ‘Jai Santoshi Maa’. She gained popularity with ‘Love Sex Aur Dhokha’ and then ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’ franchise happened which made her taste success in the industry. Nushrratt has worked in films like ‘Marjawan’, ‘Chhalaang’, ‘Ajeeb Dastaan’, ‘Huddang’, ‘Janhit Mein Jaari’, ‘Ram Setu’ and ‘Selfiee’. Her film ‘Chatrapathi’ released recently on May 12, 2023. In the film, Nushrratt stars alongside actors Bellamkonda Sai, Srinivas and Sharad Kelkar.
