Maddock Supernatural Universe started with Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor starrer 2018 film ‘Stree’, which won the hearts of the people with its tremendous horror-comedy. After this came films like ‘Roohi’ and ‘Bhediya’, which was inspired by the legend of Yapum of Arunachal Pradesh. Now, Maddock is coming up with the fourth film of Supernatural Universe ‘Munjya’. It has a CGI character named ‘Munjya’. The story of this film is inspired by Indian folklore and mythology, which will revolve around the legend of ‘Munjya’.

At present, according to media reports, it has been revealed that Shraddha Kapoor and Varun Dhawan can also be seen in this film. Dinesh Vijan, who made films like ‘Stree’ and ‘Bhediya’, has produced the film ‘Munjya’, while Aditya Saprotdar has taken the responsibility of directing it. There are many types of legends in India about ‘Munjya’. It is told in many places that ‘Munjya’ is the name given to the ghost who died at the age of less than 10 years. He wanted to marry someone, but he could not get married and he lives on a peepal tree.

Sharvari added fuel to this controversy, in which Varun was also involved. Varun wrote in the caption, ‘Bhediya wants to know who is Munjya’s Munni.’ Sharvari posted this post on her social media account, on which this caption was written. After this post, there is curiosity among the audience about whether Varun and Shraddha Kapoor will also be seen in the film ‘Munjya’. The audience is also speculating because ‘Stree’, ‘Bhediya’ and ‘Munjya’ are films of the Maddock Universe.

Munjya’s director Aditya Sarpotdar said during an interview, “The same main theme runs in all the films in the world of horror-comedy, so there may be some similarities in Munjya as well. There may be connections in my films as well. You will know it when you see it.” When Aditya was asked about Varun and Sharvari’s social media posts, he said, ”Do you really think I will tell all this? I won’t. This is the exciting part of a franchise film.” ‘Munjya’ will feature Sharvari Wagh, Mona Singh, Abhay Verma, and Sathyaraj in pivotal roles. ‘Munjya’ is set to hit the theatres on June 7, 2024.
