Who doesn’t remember Geeta and Babita from the hit sports-oriented movie Dangal? We all do and loved the inspiration that Aamir brought by raising his daughter to become one of the strongest women wrestlers in India. And the story was obviously inspired by the real life story of two Indian wrestler sisters Geeta and Babita. The two sisters had appeared on a number of shows to promote the movie with the Dangal cast. While Geeta had already been married, it is the turn of Babita to tie the knot.

Babita Kumari Phogat is indeed enjoying the happiest time of her life. She has two gold medals from Commonwealth Games 2014 and 2018 and has made the country proud on many other occasions. Her professional life has been a heck of inspiration and now her personal life is also ready to bloom. She had been in a long term relationship with her fellow wrestler Vivek Suhag and couldn’t get the courage to break this news to her father. But now, everything has been settled and she is all set to tie the knot with her longtime wrestler boyfriend Vivek Suhag.

The engagement took place on June 2nd and on 4th June Babita took to her Instagram page to break this good news to her fans. She posted a picture from her engagement ceremony with a caption, , “@SuhagVivek you know it’s official when you get the blessing from my bapu. It’s time for Dilwale to take her Dulhaniya #love #blessing #family #sweetheart #myman #cupid #engaged #lifeline #myhero #TuesdayThoughts.” Here’s the picture that she shared:

She had once shared her love story with a leading newspaper and said, “It was an event for wrestlers at a hotel in Delhi where we first met. Bas wahan dosti ho gayi. We stayed in touch and in time, we realised that we liked each other. I like how he is very straightforward but still respects others.” She further revealed that Vivek was nervous at the panorama of talking to her father, Mahabir Phogat, about their relationship. She was quoted as saying, “Senior hain woh kaafi aur unki reputation bhi hai. But he was still confident of leaving a good impression.”
