Yash Joins Ranbir Kapoor’s Ramayana As Producer Amidst Ravana Role Rumors
Nitesh Tiwari was allegedly furious when pictures of the cast’s costumes and personas were leaked. He has put in place a rigorous no-phone rule on the set.
Ramayana, the highly anticipated film by filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari, is currently in production. Starring in the movie are Sunny Deol as Hanuman, Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita, and Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram.
Ravana was rumoured to have been played by Yash earlier. According to a Zoom report, the actor is only involved in the movie as a producer.
How is Yash a part of Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana?
A source told Zoom; “Yash resisted the offer to play Ravana for a long time. He agreed finally only as a producer. Rather than accept a fee (of around ₹80 crore), he agreed to come on board as a producer.”
Nitesh Tiwari was reportedly “very upset” about the leaked pictures, which showed the characters and costumes of the cast. He has enforced a strict no-phone policy on the sets of the film.

Ranbir working hard for the role of ram
Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor is leaving no stone unturned to deliver his role of Lord Ram. Personal trainer Nam shared the video and called it ‘decompression in the countryside’. The video shows him cycling, exercising, trekking, and indulging in other extreme physical sessions.
In the video, Ranbir Kapoor moves heaven and earth to get into the character. These visuals of Ranbir’s intense workout to depict lord Ram in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana have raised the bar and RK fans are going berserk watching him working out. Also, Ranbir Kapoor has chosen to abstain from alcohol and meat, aligning himself with the spiritual and virtuous portrayal of Lord Ram.

As per news agency ANI, Bobby Deol has been reportedly approached for the role of Kumbhkaran. There are also rumours that Vijay Sethupathi could join as Raavan’s youngest brother, Vibhishan. Lara Dutta and Sheeba Chaddha will also be part of the film. While Lara will play the role of Lord Ram’s stepmother, Kaikeyi, Sheeba will be seen as Manthara. The film might be released around Diwali 2025.
