The inter-faith union of Bollywood actress Swara Bhasker with political activist Fahad Ahmad has got the internet talking. As the social media is abuzz with this latest marriage, Swara’s Tanu weds Manu co-star Kangana Ranaut too has given her opinion on the same.
Swara took to Twitter and wrote a series of tweets on her court marriage with Fahad. She penned, “Three cheers for the Special Marriage Act (despite notice period etc.) At least it exists and gives love a chance… The right to love, the right to choose your life partner, the right to marry, the right to agency these should not be a privilege.”
Kangana who has called Swara a ‘B-grade actress’ commented on the same tweet of Swara and congratulated the couple. She stated that both Swara and Fahad look happy and blessed. “That’s God’s grace… marriages happen in the hearts rest all are formalities…”, added the ‘Queen’ actress.
Swara donned her mother’s saree and jewellery for her registered marriage ceremony. She revealed that now both her and Fahad’s families are preparing for ‘Shehnai wali shaadi.’
For the unknown, Swara met Fahad during anti-CAA protest. The two became friends and soon fell for each other. The Twitter handle bio of Fahad states that he is the Maharashtra unit president of the Samajwadi Party’s youth wing. The duo tied the knot secretly on 6 January 2023 in presence of their parents at the registrar’s office. They will host a grand wedding ceremony in Delhi next month.
