Unsettlingly, previously unaired footage of Ariana Grande on Nickelodeon appears to show her being “sexualized” at an early age. The video excerpts that are currently doing the rounds were shown on the first episode of Quiet On Set: The Dark Side Of Kids TV.

Disturbing claims made behind the scenes at Nickelodeon have been made public thanks to a new documentary. Grande can be seen in the videos sucking her toes and sticking her hand down her neck.

She is also shown lying on a bed and dripping water over her head and torso. She can be heard moaning in another clip as she “milks” a potato.

Two female authors explain the “disgusting” significance of a character’s name that Amanda Bynes was destined to play in a different segment of the video.

Several cast and crew members, including Drake And Josh star Drake Bell, have opened up in the show about what went on behind the scenes. Dan Schneider’s empire ran in the 1990s and 2000s.

The Investigation Discovery four-part docuseries will air over two nights. The show highlights how Schneider abused his power position and how various convicted paedophiles were allowed to work on the shows.

IMDb says that it is a “docu-series that uncovers the toxic culture behind some of the most iconic children’s shows of the late 1990s and early 2000s.”

One of the central questions we were looking at was this power dynamic

Emma Schwartz and Mary Robertson were the show’s directors. “One of the central questions we were looking at was this power dynamic,” Robertson previously stated about the show, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

“Whether that’s a child being put in a work environment, whether that’s a parent trying to support their child, or whether that’s the child relating to a showrunner who has the power to make or break their career or their future as a star.”

The younger generation of parents who grew up enjoying these shows are now parents in their own right.

According to Jason Sarlanis, president of Turner Networks, ID and HLN, linear and streaming, “Our goal is that Quiet on Set inspires meaningful conversations amongst families and positions them to have a better understanding of not only grooming but all the complicated issues tackled in this documentary.”
