Yuvraj Singh Arrested By Haryana Police For His ‘Bhangi’ Remark, Know Here What Is The Matter!
Cricketer Yuvraj Singh was arrested by Hansi (Hisar, Haryana) police on Saturday for allegedly making derogatory remarks about Scheduled Caste society and calling them ‘bhangi’. After the incident took place Yuvraj Singh was interrogated at the Gazetted Officer’s Mess of the Police Department in Hisar. He was later released on bail as per the directions issued by the Chandigarh High Court.

On the other hand, complainant Rajat Kalsan has alleged that Yuvraj Singh was given full VIP treatment by Haryana Police and said “Nobody is above the law.” Selfies were taken with him. Juice and snacks were served in the officer’s mess which is not fair with the community and others too. Rajat Kalsan told that he has challenged the order of Punjab and Haryana High Court granting interim bail to Yuvraj Singh in the Supreme Court. And he will try his best to send a strict message to the celebrities and VIPs who insult them with objectionable words, by sending them to jail.
After interrogation, Hansi police will now present a challan against Yuvraj Singh in the court. After this, Yuvraj Singh will also have to get regular bail from the special court. Yuvraj Singh will have to appear in every special court set up under the Scheduled Castes and Tribes Atrocities Act in Hisar. If proven guilty, he can also be sentenced to 5 years in prison.
The Punjab and Haryana High Court had directed that in case Yuvraj Singh was arrested on joining the probe, he should be released on interim bail on furnishing bail and surety bonds. According to officials, “Yuvraj Singh cooperated well in the investigation. He has been called for the investigation twice before. And now he has been released on bail on the directions of the High Court.” Yuvraj Singh had expressed regret for the comments after the controversy and apologised for unintentionally hurting public sentiments.
