Akshay Kumar’s Mother Passes Away, Actor Is In ‘Unbearable Pain’

In the morning, actor Akshay Kumar has informed that his mother has left for her heavenly abode. Recently the actor flew back to India from the UK after his mother fell ill. He left his shooting in between to be there with his family at this tough hour. Akshay’s mother, Aruna Bhatia was in the ICU at Mumbai’s Hiranandani Hospital.

Taking to Twitter, Akshay shared the sad news of his mother passing away.  He tweeted, “She was my core. And today I feel an unbearable pain at the very core of my existence. My maa Smt Aruna Bhatia peacefully left this world today morning and got reunited with my dad in the other world. I respect your prayers as I and my family go through this period. Om Shanti.”

As soon as he informed everyone about his mother’s demise, condolence messages poured started pouring in on Twitter. His fans and well-wishers started sending in their support, strength, and prayers to the family. Akshay, who is all broken after losing his mother, has been urged by his fans to stay strong. On the day before this unfortunate incident, Akshay had shared an update about his mother’s health. He also thanked his well-wishers for their precious prayers. “Touched beyond words at your concern for my mom’s health. This is a very tough hour for me and my family. Every single prayer of yours would greatly help,” Akshay wrote.

The actor was off for an outdoor shoot in the UK for his upcoming film Mission Cinderella. He had to rush back home on Monday to attend his critically ill mother after she was admitted to the hospital. Akshay was very close to his mother. On Mother’s Day last year, Kumar had dedicated a post to his late mother. He wrote, “Even in this day and age, you’re the only one whose one hand on my head can comfort me in troubled times because I know there’s nothing I can’t do with your blessings maa.”

Bhatia was a widow of a Punjabi army man. One could spot her in Akshay’s social media posts very often as she was highly significant in shaping Akshay’s life and career.
