Healthy Hair Incoming, You Must Try This DIY Masks For Combating Dry Hair
As there are many hair products to pick from, you don’t need to spend a lot of money on expensive masks to get your strands back in shape. If you have dry or damaged hair, a hair mask can be your best friend. In the form of deep conditioning, a hair mask comprises nourishing substances that hydrate, add luster, and softness to hair. Here are some DIY masks for Combating Dry Hair.
A. Coconut oil and Honey
Due to its high fatty acid content, coconut oil hydrates and softens hair while reducing damage. It penetrates considerably deeper into the hair than a typical conditioner, making it soft, silky, and shining. Honey is a natural humectant, which means it absorbs moisture and gives hair a boost of hydration.
Instructions
- In a mixing basin, combine both ingredients in equal amounts. Depending on the length and texture of your hair, adjust the amount.
- Apply to your hair from top to bottom, completely coating it. Apply this mixture from your ears down if you have an oily scalp.
- Allow it to sit for 20 minutes.
- After rinsing it off, shampoo and condition as usual.
B. Banana, Honey and Yogurt Mask
Bananas are high in vitamins, potassium, and carbs, all of which work together to help seal in moisture and prevent frizz, making this a great hair pack for dry hair. Yogurt has a lot of lactic acid, which is great for fighting dullness and repairing damaged hair. Honey hydrates and moisturises dry hair.
Instructions
- Combine one mashed banana, two tablespoons yoghurt, and one tablespoon honey in a blender until smooth.
- From top to bottom, apply this mixture to moist hair.
- Cover your hair with a shower cap and tie it up.
- Allow 30 minutes for the mask to sit on your hair.
- Use your regular shampoo and conditioner to finish.
C. Hair Mask with Eggs and Lemon
Eggs are high in proteins, vitamins A, D, and E, as well as fatty acids that help your hair shine. Lemon’s acidic nature dissolves excess oil and grease in the scalp, making this hair mask ideal for oily-skinned women
Instructions
- Remove the yolk from the egg white and use the white for your mask.
- Half a lemon should be squeezed into the egg white.
- To make a smooth consistency, combine all of the ingredients in a mixing bowl.
- Apply from top to bottom to damp hair.
- Cover your hair with a shower cap and tie it up.
- Allow 30 to 45 minutes for the mask to dry before rinsing with shampoo and conditioner.
These homemade hair masks use materials you probably already have in your kitchen to help revitalise dry or damaged hair, such as yoghurt, avocado, and olive oil.
