Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal Becomes An Issue In Parliament; MP Reveals Her Daughter Came Out Of Theatre Crying: Deets Inside!
Recently, Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal became a huge topic in parliament. Animal, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, has received widespread acclaim, but it has also been chastised for glorifying toxic masculinity. The movie is now being discussed both in-person and on social media.
The debate surrounding the film has now spread to the Indian parliament as well. Chattisgarh MP for the Indian National Congress, Ranjeet Ranjan, criticised the film’s content. She disclosed that her daughter had sobbed upon leaving the theater after seeing the film.
Ranjeet Ranjan reportedly stated that everyone has grown up watching movies since they are a reflection of society, as reported by Aaj Tak. She also mentioned how movies have a lasting impact on young people. She continued by saying that movies like Pushpa, Animal, and Kabir Singh will have an impact on people’s thoughts. She stated: “I won’t be able to tell you that my daughter had so many girls with her who were in college. She cried in half the picture and got up from the hall and left.”
The MP continued, claiming that the film contained a great deal of violence and female molestation. She declared that she dislikes when such things are shown in motion pictures. Furthermore, she said: “Look at ‘Kabir Singh’, how he treats his wife, people, and society, and pictures are also showing him justifying.”

She referred to the discussion around these films as a “thought-provoking topic.” She also mentioned that children in the eleventh and twelfth grades are greatly impacted by violent films and negative role models. She explained, “They have started considering it as a role model. Because we are seeing it in pictures, we are seeing this kind of violence in society too.”
She even took issue with the movie’s Arjan Vailly song. She stated: “Hari Singh Nalwa, the commander-in-chief of the Sikh Force, who fought against the Mughals, against the British, to stop their growing power, his son was Arjan Singh Nalwa. He saved many Muslims from Pakistan’s Guzara when the whole of India was together in 1947. This high-quality history has been shown wrongly in this picture. This also hurts the religious faith.”
In just six days, the film has made over Rs 500 crore. On December 1, 2023, the movie was first shown in theaters.
