‘Sabka Badla Lene Aa Gya Tera Faizal’: Anurag Kashyap Gives Quirky Reaction To Gangs Of Wasseypur Re-Release
Fans of the iconic film series Gangs of Wasseypur are in for a treat as the two-part epic is set for a grand re-release in select theatres starting tomorrow, August 30. Director Anurag Kashyap confirmed the highly anticipated return of the films on Tuesday, sharing detailed show timings on his Instagram account. The re-release will run for a week, concluding on September 5.
The screenings will be in 2K format, offering audiences a high-quality viewing experience. Kashyap, known for his gritty storytelling, invoked one of the film’s famous dialogues in his announcement, writing, “Sabka badla lene aa gaya tera Faizal. Gangster Week kicks off from 30th August to 5th September with the epic re-release of Gangs of Wasseypur Part 1 and Part 2!”
The first part of the series originally premiered in 2012 and quickly became a cult classic. The re-release has generated significant excitement, particularly among fans who have long awaited its return to the big screen.
Show timings have been carefully scheduled across various cities. In Akola, Amravati, Kolkata Newtown, and Dombivali, Part 1 will be screened at 4:15 p.m., followed by Part 2 at 7:30 p.m. Jaipur Entertainment Paradise will follow a similar schedule. In Chandrapur, showtimes are set for 4:30 p.m. (Part 1) and 7:45 p.m. (Part 2). Kolkata Saltlake will host screenings at 2:30 p.m. and 5:35 p.m. for Part 1 and Part 2, respectively.
Additional screenings will take place in Ranchi, Vasai, Goregaon, Nalasopara, Pune, and Mulund, among others. Fans in Noida, Faridabad, Gurgaon, Delhi, Ghaziabad, and several other cities will also have the opportunity to revisit the cinematic masterpiece.
Kashyap had previously teased the re-release on social media, creating a buzz among fans with the message, “In three days the Gang will be back again… GOW back in cinemas.”
Gangs of Wasseypur boasts an ensemble cast including Manoj Bajpayee, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Pankaj Tripathi, Jaideep Ahlawat, and others, making it a landmark in Indian cinema.
