Salman Khan Reveals That His Eyes ‘Welled Up’ During ‘Kabootar Ja Ja’ Song Shoot Due To This Reason

In a recent conversation with Hello! Indo-Arabia, Salman Khan named ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ as his favorite film. The actor shared an interesting anecdote related to the film. Dabang Khan Aka Salman recalled an incident during the filming of the song ‘Kabootar Ja Ja’ and revealed that his eyes welled up during the shoot.
Salman Khan said, “I was about 18 years old then, and shooting the song ‘Kabootar Ja Ja Ja’ was a memorable moment. There came a moment when I suddenly realised that this role was meant for me.”
He further expressed, “Diring the new generation of film, I could only imagine Jackie Shroff or Anil Kapoor in such roles. I couldn’t even imagine myself in big roles in big films. But that moment was the first time I actually felt that yes, I could do it. I had tears in my eyes.”
Salman Khan was selected for ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ after several auditions. After the film became a hit, Salman had to sit idle for a few months, but his career eventually got back on track.
Since entering the film industry in the 90s, Salman Khan, at the age of 58, continues to rule the silver screen. Speaking of Salman Khan’s upcoming projects, ‘Sikandar’ is his next film. It is directed by AR Murugadoss and is set to release next year on Eid.
Salman began his film career in 1988 with the movie ‘Biwi Ho To Aisi.’ However, he had a supporting role in it. A year later, Sooraj Barjatya launched Salman as a hero with ‘Maine Pyar Kiya.’ This film proved to be a milestone in the actor’s career. His pairing with Bhagyashree was highly appreciated.
