On May 1, director Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s web series ‘Heeramandi’ was released on the OTT platform Netflix. This series features many prominent stars including Manisha Koirala, Richa Chadha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Shekhar Suman, and others.
Sonakshi Sinha is also part of this series, appearing in a double role. Her first character is Rihana and the second is Faridah. Due to this series, Sonakshi has been making headlines.
Meanwhile, in an interview with Zoom, she talked about her roles in previous films and the selection of her films.
While discussing her past films, Sonakshi Sinha said, “As an artist, you have a responsibility. People have eyes on you.” She mentioned that when she was young, she had the opportunity to do many big films, and during that time, no one could refuse those films.
However, later she realized that as you grow, people start noticing you. People talk about that thing, and discussions come up in front of you. She said, “It’s criticism, but it’s also constructive.”
Sonakshi Sinha also mentioned that after the film ‘Akira’, she has taken up roles that have seen significant changes. She said, “I’m not just saying this. I don’t think I can be called ‘Maal’ myself.” She also said that this is a step that everyone should take up.
