The biography of famous singer Asha Bhosle ‘Swarswamini Asha’ was launched on June 28. RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat was present on this occasion. Apart from him, Sonu Nigam and Ashatai’s granddaughter Janai Bhosle were also present. On this occasion, singer Sonu Nigam washed the feet of Asha Bhosle. On the occasion of the release of the book ‘Swarswamini Asha’ written on Asha Bhosle, Bhagwat said that the purpose of music is not just entertainment, but its impact should also be beneficial for society.
This book contains the works of 90 authors, which also includes some rare photographs of this young versatile singer. Mohan Bhagwat said, ‘I had respect for the Mangeshkar family even before meeting them. Their music is such that it not only preaches music but also preaches devotion and patriotism’. On this occasion, Asha Bhosle recalled her association with Hindutva ideologue VD Savarkar. Her brother music director Hridaynath Mangeshkar was also present at the event.
