‘Aashiqui’ Fame Rahul Roy Reveals Mahesh Bhatt And Family Never Reached Out To Him After Brain Stroke!

Bollywood actor Rahul Roy became the heartbeat of many in the 90s. He rose to fame after giving blockbuster film ‘Aashiqui’. But soon after, the actor’s career saw a downfall. In 2020, Rahul became a victim of brain stroke.  His treatment happened at Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai.

Making a big disclosure about his difficult phase, the actor told that Salman Khan had helped him a a lot. He had paid all his hospital bills. At the same time, Rahul has also revealed that during his tough time, no friend from the industry- Mahesh Bhatt, Pooja Bhatt or Raveena Tandon had come to meet him.

‘Mahesh and Pooja did not ask about my condition’

In a recent interview with Siddharth Kannan, the actor was asked whether Mahesh Bhatt, who made ‘Aashiqui’ or his daughter Pooja, had taken care of him at that time. To this, Rahul’s sister, Priyanka Roy who was also present with him, said, “Even Rahul’s twin brother Rohit didn’t call him. When his own brother was not bothered, what can we expect from a star.”

Priyanka also told the names of those stars who had come to meet Rahul. She stated, ‘One or two actors like Aditi Govitrikar and Suchitra Pillai had come to see Rahul.

Earlier than this, Rahul had told that at the time when he was fighting a brain stroke, only Salman Khan had called him and asked if he could help him. He had paid all his bills. The actor said that he will always be grateful to him. He called Salman a ‘True star’ who helped supported him secretly and did not take any publicity..’ Rahul also mentioned that now when he is doing much better than before, he is looking for work.

Workwise, Rahul Roy appeared last in Zee5 Original Film ‘Cabaret’. It was a romantic drama thriller which also starred Richa Chadha and Gulshan Devaiah.
