Just yesterday, we reported about Pratyusha’s ex-boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh denying the revelation by Vikas Gupta of dating Pratyusha in the past. Rahul stated that Pratyusha and Vikas never dated and so, the point of them parting ways doesn’t arise. Now, another close friend of Pratyusha has come forward to speak up on the same and clarify things. It is none other than popular TV actress Kamya Panjabi. She has slammed Vikas Gupta for claiming that he had dated late Pratyusha Banerjee.
Criticizing Vikas Gupta, Kamya said that what had happened shouldn’t be brought up now as Pratyusha isn’t there to verify the claims. Calling it a sensitive matter, Kamya added that nobody has the right to speak about Pratyusha now. 
In an interview with leading daily, Kamya Panjabi said, “Let’s respect those who are not with us and not talk about anyone’s personal life. Pratyusha isn’t there to tell the world whether it’s true or incorrect. She isn’t there to verify these claims. Why is Vikas talking about his past with her now? Fame chahiye ki kya chahiye (Does he want fame?) I don’t appreciate it at all. I didn’t read or watch the interview. I don’t want to know ki Pratyusha ke baare mein sach likha hai, jhooth likha hai ya tareef likhi hai (I don’t want to know if the truth or lies or praises were written about Pratyusha).”
She further added, “Uss aurat ki zindagi mein kya hua kya nahi hua uske baare mein ab kyu bolna (Why rake up what happened in her life now). She isn’t with us anymore. It was her personal life. Kisi ko haq nahi hai ki uske baare mein ab baat kare. Vikas koi doodh peeta bachcha nahi hai. Uske reasons honge, par jo apne beech mein nahi hai usko kyu drag karna (No one has the right to speak about her now. Vikas isn’t a child. He may have his reasons but why drag someone who isn’t with us). He didn’t disclose the name of the girl, who he has claimed to have dated other than Pratyusha. Is it because she is alive to defend herself? Yeh saari cheezein nahi honi chahiye (All these things shouldn’t happen). We fought for her… It is a sensitive matter, so let’s be careful about what we speak.”
Kamya and Pratyusha were thick friends since the time they bonded well on the controversial show Bigg Boss.
For the unknown, Vikas recently confessed to having dated only two women in his life, one being late Pratyusha Banerjee. He also revealed that Pratyusha found out about his bisexuality after they had ended their relationship.
Pratyusha, best known for playing grown-up Anandi in Balika Vadhu, died of suicide in 2016. Her boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh was taken into Police custody after he was accused of Pratyusha’s abetment to suicide. He was later granted anticipatory bail by the Bombay High court.
