Agastya Nanda Discovers Amitabh Bachchan’s Fame On School Grandparents Day

Agastya Nanda, the grandson of megastar Amitabh Bachchan, disclosed that he had no idea for years about the popularity of his ‘nanu’. Agastya Nanda, who made his debut with the film ‘The Archies’ on Netflix India, disclosed that he had not known for years how famous his grandfather Amitabh Bachchan was. In an interview, he recalled getting an idea about his grandfather’s popularity only when the megastar visited his school in Delhi.

What Agastya Nanda confessed

Agastya disclosed that his family doesn’t bring work home. His grandfather never spoke about his work at home. For him, Amitabh Bachchan was like any other granddad until Amitabh came to school on his annual day.  “We had grandparents day in school in Delhi. When he’d show up, everyone would go crazy, and I was like, I just don’t get this; why is everyone going crazy? That’s when I realized. And then, of course, when I started watching cinema, I was like, Okay, he’s kind of good at this,” confessed Agastya in the interview.

Amitabh and Agastya

Last month, after the release of ‘The Archies’, Agastya got to accompany Amitabh Bachchan on his Sunday date with fans and followers.

On his official blog, Amitabh uploaded many photos from his meet and greet with fans, who gathered outside his Juhu residence ‘Jalsa’ every Sunday. In the photographs, Bachchan and Agastya are seen coming out to meet his well-wishers.

“The interest is ever more loved than the capital… And the legacy lives on… Father to son to son to son and then grandson… and the principal ever the reality of the base that built it,” Amitabh Bachchan wrote.
